The Blade That Cuts the Poor
There are moments in history when a nation’s decisions reveal its soul. The recent cuts to SNAP benefits are not a gentle weaning, they are a swift and merciless blade drawn across the throats of the most vulnerable. It is not reform, it is removal. It is not stewardship, it is sabotage. This is not about politics, it is about humanity. When the bread is taken from the hungry, the heavens take note.
In a time when billions are poured into war machines, corporate bailouts, and political theater, the poor are told to tighten their belts while the elite loosen theirs. Yet Scripture declares plainly, “He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy” (Proverbs 14:31). When a government’s balance sheets become more sacred than its people, the altar of Mammon has replaced the altar of mercy.
The Word says, “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune which they have prescribed, to rob the needy of justice and to take what is right from the poor of My people” (Isaiah 10:1–2). This is not an economic adjustment; it is a moral collapse. The cries of single mothers, the elderly, and the disabled are rising like incense before the throne, and Heaven is watching who turns away.
This is order out of chaos, the calculated starvation of the dependent, to provoke unrest and dependence on new systems of control. It is not about one political party; it is the architecture of power itself. The Book of James warns, “Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth” (James 5:4). When the cries of the hungry reach Heaven, judgment soon follows.
Yet the Kingdom of God does not bow to Babylon’s economy. To the Remnant, Yeshua says, “Give to him who asks of you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away” (Matthew 5:42). When governments fail the people, the people of God must rise as storehouses of mercy. Every loaf given, every meal shared, every heart moved in compassion becomes an act of holy rebellion against darkness.
Let the world know: the true wealth of a nation is not found in its vaults but in its virtue. The measure of its greatness is not its GDP but its grace. And those who cut the bread of the poor have carved their own judgment.
For it is written, “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me’” (Matthew 25:40).
Heaven is recording every policy, every act, every silence.

Thank you Coco. I feel like this message really concern those of us who are in Cameroon.
Please we need serious prayer for our Country Cameroon. We are really suffering. The youths are very angry. Dear Remnants put us in your prayers Please. This is a spiritual battle. Our leaders are so greedy and they cause the poor to suffer. Only God can help us at this point.
I was listening to the recent article congress demanded to open the government they wanted 300+ million for their wages, 83 million for disaster relief for themselves, (wonder what they know)90 million for a bank in France and millions to LBTQ, millions to other pet projects then they wanted to give 76 thousand to our veterans. I heard. Snap has 61% Islamic people registered in our country, yet they drive Escalades, and have several wife’s. I pray this shutdown give them the ability to make righteous decisions. Like everything the good are in pain because of unrighteous
