Choose Wisely: Discerning True Character from False Masks
A person of God moves with intention and consistency. Their love is not a performance but a pattern. Their words and actions line up over time, even when no one is looking. They build slowly, they keep showing up, and their fruit speaks louder than their promises.
A narcissist operates differently. They love bomb. They flood you with attention, compliments, gifts, or spiritual talk in the beginning, hoping you will confuse intensity with authenticity. They know how to play the part long enough to gain your trust. When you are caught up in the thrill, you may not notice the mask until the mask slips.
This is why Yeshua warned us to judge by fruit, not by appearance. Real love grows deeper with time. Counterfeit love fades when it no longer serves its purpose. Real servants of God have a track record of humility, consistency, and sacrifice. Counterfeits have a pattern of chaos, manipulation, and excuses.
In this hour, you must choose wisely. Do not let your hunger for companionship blind you to red flags. Do not confuse charm with character. Do not confuse performance with purity. Look at the pattern, not the pitch. Watch for consistency, not intensity. And never be afraid to pause, pray, and wait for the Holy Spirit’s confirmation before you open your heart or your life to someone.
Your destiny matters. Your assignment matters. The wrong person at the wrong time can derail what God is building in you. But the right discernment will protect you and position you for blessing.
