Joy in the Storm
There are moments when life feels like a battlefield and the waves refuse to calm. We pray for peace, but the storm rages louder. We ask for strength, yet we feel our knees trembling. But it is here, in the chaos, that Heaven teaches us what true joy really is.
Yeshua never promised us a life without pain. He promised us Himself in the middle of it. “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). The joy of the Lord is not shallow laughter, it is a well that runs deep when the surface is broken. It is the strength that rises in us when everything else is stripped away.
Paul and Silas knew this joy. With their bodies beaten and chained, they sang at midnight. Their voices rose in worship from the darkest cell, and the ground shook until every chain fell (Acts 16:25-26). Their joy not only freed them, it freed everyone listening.
This is what joy in the storm looks like. It is a fire that confuses the enemy because it cannot be stolen. You can lose money, reputation, even relationships, but you cannot lose Yeshua. His presence is unbreakable, His love unshakable, His promises eternal.
James tells us to “consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds” (James 1:2). Why? Because storms are not wasted. They produce perseverance. They refine us in the fire. They teach us to lean on the Rock that never moves.
Beloved, joy is not the absence of tears. Joy is the presence of Yeshua in the middle of them. It is the sound of worship that rises in the night. It is the anchor that holds when everything else gives way. And it is the promise that one day, every storm will cease forever.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
Lift your eyes. The storm is not the end. The joy of the Lord will carry you through.

Amen yeshua! Thank you lord for our sister Samantha may you hold her and carry her and her baby and keep them safe under your wings !!
Amen to the King of Kings!!!!
Thanks Coco
Thank you. Yes this. It’s been esp bad the last few days: with the spiritual warfare, the suffering, and the crucifying of flesh. To praise Him in the midst of it feels like trying to sing underwater. Or trying to walk
with your feet in cement blocks.
Feels almost impossible, but then He takes our weakness—what little paltry bit we can offer Him—and perfects it in His strength. He meets us where we are, in the midst of the suffering. I could not do this without Him!
Thank you for writing this word, Coco; and for taking this divine assignment…He knew we would need you. ☦️✝️
And I just realized, that’s why He woke me up in the middle of the night— to turn on some praise music. I’m just now putting it together!! ✝️ (Usually it’s to pray. But this time it was “Listen to praise and worship for a little while.”) Well, thank You, Lord.
Thank you General you always leave a word of encouragement God bless you and keep you safe. ❤️
Thank you sister for putting down the words that Jesus inspires you and flow thru you. Thank you father and I will keep my eyes up and hold your joy within me, I will keep your praise while the storm wreaks havoc on me but I will not allow it to break my praise to you for my love for and you for me knows no bounds. Thank you my Father my Friend my beloved king. In Jesus Christ mighty name amen.
I really needed this today!! Thank you for always sharing in obedience for Yeshua ❤️
As I’m reading this word, there’s a storm raging outside with wind, rain, thunder, lightning and hail. The battles continue, but I will praise Him in the storm!
Thankyou General!
It seemed that the storm would never end, that the battles would never cease, They came from all sides, but I knew that I had to stand even when I’m exhausted, tired, or overwhelmed, refinement does not come easy as a refiner , refines gold the metal it self comes from nature mixed with other metals that process is necessary for the purity of the gold. Yeshua is that purity. Thank you dear sister for you quenched the thirst of my exhaustion.
I love Yeshua with all my heart and I know He is with me in the storms and I am not afraid or feel alone anymore.
Amen
Thank you, I needed this. May the Lord continue to bless you.
