Obedience is proven in the fire. Anyone can praise God when the prayers are answered, the doors are opening, and the blessings are overflowing. But what will you do when the heavens seem silent? What will you do when everything you built appears to crumble before your eyes? Will you still worship? Will you still obey? Will you still trust Him?

Scripture says, “Count it all joy… when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness” (James 1:2–3). Job declared, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him” (Job 13:15). He also said, “When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). The fire was never meant to destroy the righteous. It was meant to refine them.

Look carefully at Job. The Lord permitted Satan to test him, but only within the boundaries God established. First, he could touch Job’s possessions but not Job himself. Later, he could afflict Job’s body but could not take his life (Job 1:12; Job 2:6). Even in unimaginable suffering, Job refused to curse God. He declared, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21). That is the posture of a heart fully surrendered to the Father.

Something has always stood out to me. After the events of Job chapter 2, Satan is no longer mentioned in the narrative. From that point, the focus turns to Job’s perseverance, God’s wisdom, and ultimately God’s restoration. To me, that paints a picture that seasons of testing have limits because God alone determines their boundaries. When the season He has permitted is complete, restoration follows. Scripture tells us, “The Lord restored the fortunes of Job… and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10). That is my understanding as I have reflected on Job’s story.

Many of you know my testimony. In 2022, I died. I stood face to face with Yeshua HaMashiach in the New Jerusalem. That moment, standing before the King of Kings, changed every part of my life. Nothing has ever been the same. Since that day, I have heard His voice and have sought to obey Him regardless of the cost.

Recently, for the first time in my life, I experienced what I understood to be a direct spiritual temptation. I was offered something if I would speak favorably about a certain nation in my messages. My answer was immediate: not a chance. I would rather lose everything this world has to offer than betray the One who saved me. During that encounter, I heard the words, “You are like Job.” Those words sent me back into the Book of Job, where I was reminded again that every servant of God will face moments when obedience is weighed in the fire. The enemy has always sought compromise, but those whose hearts belong to the Father cannot be bought.

Remnant, do not despise the fire. Do not confuse refinement with rejection. The Father disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6), and the testing of faith produces endurance (James 1:3). If you belong to Him, there will be moments when obedience costs you something. There will be opportunities to compromise for comfort, popularity, influence, or gain. Do not take them.

The enemy studies your weaknesses, but the Father is forming Christ within you. Stand firm. Refuse compromise. Refuse bitterness. Refuse offense. Refuse to curse God because the road is difficult. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Cling to Christ even when you cannot yet see what He is accomplishing.

If you are in the furnace today, do not lose heart. The God who permits the testing is the same God who sets its limits. He has not forgotten you. He has not abandoned you. He is faithful. In His perfect time, He restores, strengthens, confirms, and establishes His people (1 Peter 5:10).

Remain faithful. Finish your race. The fire will not last forever, but what God produces through it will endure for eternity.

General of The Remnant

Remnant, hear me.
