STOP BEING A WET NOODLE BEHIND THE PULPIT

There is a crisis in the house of God, and it is not because there are not enough microphones. It is because too many people holding microphones have become afraid to use them.

God gave some of you influence. He gave you platforms. He gave you pulpits. He gave you audiences. He gave you positions where your voice could reach thousands, even millions. And somewhere along the way, the fear of God was replaced by the fear of people.

You started asking, “What will they think of me?”

“What will happen to my following?”

“What if they call me controversial?”

“What if somebody gets offended?”

“What if I lose invitations?”

What if they leave my church?

And while you were protecting your reputation, darkness was not protecting anything.

Darkness kept moving.

Corruption kept moving.

Human beings kept being exploited.

Families kept being destroyed.

Systems that were supposed to protect people failed them.

And too many people who were anointed to SPEAK decided silence was safer.

ENOUGH.

If God gave you a voice, then USE IT.

If God gave you authority, then WALK IN IT.

If God showed you injustice, then stop pretending you did not see it because acknowledging it might make somebody uncomfortable.

Isaiah 58:1 says, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet.”

A trumpet does not apologize for being loud.

A trumpet does not whisper because somebody in the third row might become uncomfortable.

A trumpet sounds because SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE HEARD.

Some of you have confused being Christlike with being passive.

Read the Gospels again.

Yeshua HaMashiach was compassionate, but He was not cowardly.

He touched the leper.

He defended the rejected.

He confronted hypocrisy.

He overturned tables.

He called religious leaders to account.

He stood before political and religious authority and refused to become somebody else simply because powerful people were watching.

Jesus did not come to establish another performance of religion.

He came to reconcile humanity to the Father.

RELATIONSHIP.

Heart.

Truth.

Repentance.

Mercy.

Transformation.

And somehow we took a Savior who walked straight into the suffering of humanity and turned following Him into polished sermons, comfortable auditoriums, carefully managed reputations, and messages so watered down that darkness can sit through them without ever becoming uncomfortable.

Where are the watchmen?

Ezekiel 33 warns the watchman about seeing danger and refusing to sound the trumpet.

That should shake every person carrying spiritual authority.

Because authority is not a trophy.

Authority is responsibility.

Anointing is not decoration.

Calling is not celebrity.

A platform is not merely an opportunity to become known.

It is an opportunity to make TRUTH known.

I have spent years writing about subjects many people would rather avoid. Corruption within institutions. Failures within prison systems. Failures within medical systems. Human trafficking and exploitation. Spiritual warfare and the questions people are afraid to discuss. I have learned something through all of it.

Darkness benefits when good people decide that speaking is too expensive.

And I refuse to make that bargain.

Somebody has to speak for the person nobody believes.

Somebody has to ask the question everybody else is afraid to ask.

Somebody has to walk into uncomfortable territory and turn the LIGHT ON.

Ephesians 5:11 says, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Expose them.

Bring them into the light.

And hear me carefully.

Truth does not mean recklessness. Truth does not mean spreading accusations without evidence. Truth does not mean abandoning wisdom, discernment, justice, or due process.

But wisdom is NOT cowardice.

Discernment is NOT silence.

And keeping everybody comfortable is NOT the Gospel.

John the Baptist lost his head because he refused to pretend wrongdoing was righteousness.

The prophets were hated because they spoke when kings wanted silence.

The apostles were threatened and commanded to stop speaking, and their response in Acts 4 was essentially this: we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.

THAT is conviction.

So to every pastor, prophet, teacher, evangelist, minister, chaplain, leader, watchman, and person who has been entrusted with influence:

GET YOUR BACKBONE BACK.

Stop checking the comment section before deciding whether truth is still truth.

Stop measuring obedience by applause.

Stop watering down conviction until nobody has anything left to repent of.

Stop preaching messages designed exclusively to make comfortable people more comfortable.

The broken need you.

The abused need voices.

The exploited need voices.

The forgotten need voices.

The prisoner needs voices.

The widow needs voices.

The child without power needs voices.

And a generation drowning in confusion desperately needs men and women who cannot be purchased with applause.

Micah 6:8 says what the Lord requires: “to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”

JUSTICE.

MERCY.

HUMILITY.

All three.

Because we do not need another generation of religious celebrities.

WE NEED SERVANTS WITH FIRE IN THEIR BONES.

We need people who love God more than popularity.

People who love truth more than invitations.

People who love human beings enough to tell them what is true.

People who can stand before power without becoming intoxicated by it.

People who can confront corruption without becoming corrupt themselves.

People who remember that the pulpit was never supposed to manufacture celebrities.

It was supposed to point people toward CHRIST.

So if God entrusted you with authority, quit treating that authority like a comfortable chair.

STAND UP.

If He gave you a trumpet, SOUND IT.

If He gave you a light, STOP HIDING IT.

If He gave you a voice, SPEAK.

And if the only reason you have remained silent is because you are terrified of what people might think about you, remember Galatians 1:10:

“For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

The hour does not need wet noodles behind pulpits.

It needs watchmen who are awake.

Shepherds who actually protect sheep.

Servants who cannot be bought.

Believers whose knees bow before God so their backs do not have to bend before darkness.

Raise your voice.

Preach Christ.

Defend the vulnerable.

Expose what can be responsibly exposed.

Stand for righteousness.

Love people fiercely.

Fear God more than you fear losing followers.

And when the pressure comes, STAND ANYWAY.

Because when God places a trumpet in your hand, silence was never the assignment.
