Marriage is Not Slavery

Posted on August 26, 2025August 26, 2025 by General Coco

Marriage is Not Slavery

Marriage was never meant to be a prison. In the Kingdom of God, a covenant is not chains, it is not domination, and it is not bondage. The Father designed marriage to be a reflection of His own love, sacrificial, pure, and free. Anything less is a distortion.

Too many women have been told to stay silent, to endure abuse, to accept neglect, or to surrender their God-given worth in the name of submission. But submission in the Kingdom is not slavery, it is mutual honor under Christ. Husbands are commanded to love their wives as Yeshua loves the church, which means laying down their lives, not lording over them. A husband who dominates, controls, or crushes his wife is not walking in Kingdom authority, he is walking in rebellion against the very design of God.

Women are not called to chains, they are called to destiny. They are not lesser vessels, they are co-heirs of grace, daughters of Zion, and warriors in their own right. Marriage in the Kingdom is a covenant of power, not of weakness. It is two scrolls woven together, two flames burning brighter side by side, not one extinguishing the other.

If you are in Christ, hear this truth clearly: you were not created to be enslaved in marriage. You were created to walk in freedom, in respect, in mutual love, and in the fear of the Lord together. The Kingdom of Heaven does not sanction abuse, and the King Himself will bring justice to every covenant that has been perverted by control and cruelty.

Marriage is sacred, yes, but sacred does not mean suffocating. The covenant is holy because it is built on love, and love does not bind in chains, love sets free.
