I saw something in a dream or Maybe I didn’t?

A sudden series of unexplained events begins to ripple across the world as three brilliant astrophysicists, each working independently on anomalous celestial data, are killed or vanish under mysterious circumstances, the last leaving behind a fragmented warning that something far greater than random meteor activity is unfolding, and as small but violent objects begin tearing through homes and skies, dismissed publicly as harmless debris, a growing sense of unease spreads beneath the surface of global normalcy, while months earlier, under the guise of prestige and legacy, the White House had quietly secured massive funding from the world’s wealthiest elites to construct an extravagant ballroom, a project later revealed to conceal a fortified underground bunker designed not for celebration but survival, its access restricted to a preselected list of powerful names who were given knowledge the public never received, and as tensions escalate worldwide with wars intensifying and nations on edge, the scientists’ hidden data resurfaces in the hands of an unlikely protagonist who discovers that the falling objects are not isolated incidents but fragments of a larger celestial body on a collision path with Earth, a phenomenon long theorized but now confirmed, carrying not just destructive force but contamination capable of collapsing global systems, and just as final efforts to alter its trajectory fail, a sudden and unexplainable disappearance of millions occurs, throwing infrastructure into chaos and shattering all remaining control, leaving those underground believing they have secured their future while those above are left to face what is coming, and in the final moments, as the sky burns and the ocean receives the impact of the object known as Wormwood, the truth becomes clear that what humanity feared could be controlled was never meant to be stopped, only revealed, forcing every character, from the powerful below to the desperate above, to confront the same question, not of survival, but of meaning in the face of something far greater than themselves.
