The Discipline of the Called

The Discipline of the Called

When Yeshua gives you a commission, it is not for the faint of heart. Every day feels like walking past a pit of snakes, and the closer you draw to the fire of God, the more the snakes rise to strike. I receive death threats. I am stopped. I see more serpents than ever before, cloaked in human skin. Some try to throw my past in my face, not even knowing the true story, not even reading the books where the truth has been laid bare. But I remind myself, this is not about them. This is about the One who called me.

For Satan is the great accuser. That is his nature. He accuses day and night before the throne as Revelation 12 verse 10 declares. Every single person Yeshua ever used had a past. David was an adulterer. Moses was a murderer. Rahab was a prostitute. Peter denied Him three times. Paul slaughtered believers before becoming an apostle. Yet every single one was chosen, refined, and used by God to shake nations. Those who are truly commissioned are put through the refiner’s fire, and their scars become the proof of their anointing.

Even Yeshua Himself was accused of things He never did. They said He was demon possessed in John 8 verse 48. They slandered Him. They mocked Him. If they accused the Son of God, why would I expect less. If the world hated Him, the world will hate those He sends as John 15 verse 18 confirms.

It takes discipline to stand in the face of such wickedness and not waver. It takes discipline to hear the venom of demons in human mouths and remain silent when silence is for the greater good of His people. I grew up with a military father, and I learned early that without discipline, battles are lost before they begin. Paul wrote to Timothy, Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer, in 2 Timothy 2 verses 3 and 4. That verse is carved into me.

The truth is, no one would volunteer for this assignment if they knew the weight it carried. The spiritual attacks, the constant opposition, the isolation, the betrayal. Yet, the power of seeing even one soul set free makes every fiery arrow worth it. That is what happens when God raises someone out of the fire. Souls start getting delivered. Chains start breaking. Addicts walk away from drugs. The lustful are set free. Broken marriages are restored. Generational curses are shattered. Only those with spiritual eyes can truly see it, and in this ministry we have watched it unfold again and again. And if that is not the anointing of God, I do not know what is.

Scripture warns us, Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up, Galatians 6 verse 9. That is discipline. That is soldiering on when everything in your flesh wants to quit. That is setting your face like flint, just as the Messiah did in Isaiah 50 verse 7, knowing that the fire of His Spirit cannot be quenched by the lies of men or the threats of demons.

This commission is not glamorous, it is war. The discipline required is not for a season, but for every breath, every word, every thought taken captive to obey Christ, 2 Corinthians 10 verse 5. The world does not understand, and most never will. But those who carry the scroll, those who burn with holy fire, those who stand when others bow, they know.

So I will not shrink back. Let the snakes hiss. Let demons rage. Let men spread lies. The discipline of the called is forged in the fire of opposition, and it is there that the power of God is revealed.

Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, 1 Timothy 6 verse 12.

Between the war that raged on that I thought that would never end for years standing firm. I ride, for the king of kings.
