When Patience Feels Like a Prison
Sometimes patience feels less like a virtue and more like confinement. It is easy to speak about waiting when the heart is not in the fire, but when the promise seems delayed and the silence of Heaven stretches into days, weeks, and years, patience begins to test the soul. Yet it is in that very silence that God is shaping us. Patience is not punishment; it is preparation. It is the hand of a loving Father training us to trust what we cannot yet see.
I have learned that patience exposes what we truly believe about God. If I trust His goodness, I will rest even when I do not understand His timing. If I doubt His heart, I will grow restless, bitter, and weary. But every season of delay is Heaven’s opportunity to reveal endurance, discipline, and a depth of character that could not be formed any other way. Some of the greatest battles are fought in the waiting room of faith.
When I feel like giving up, I remind myself that patience is not passive. It is active surrender. It is choosing peace when anxiety would rather take the reins. It is the quiet confidence that God has not forgotten the promise He whispered. Every moment of waiting is a test of trust, and though it may ache, it is also where faith grows its deepest roots.
So if you are waiting, do not see it as wasted time. See it as sacred training. The Lord is not late, He is precise. The same God who counts every hair on your head is watching the clock you cannot see. And when the time comes, you will understand why He asked you to wait. Until then, stay still, stay steadfast, and remember that patience is not weakness, it is worship.
General ⚔️

Yes I needed this reminder today sweet general thank you, sometimes I get weary but remember who my father is in heaven and where my true home is with the father with kimmie and with all of you my dear sisters and brothers in Christ! Hold fast and hold tight because he will come and he is 🙂 I love you forever and always!!
Resting in his peace! And trusting in the Lord always. “as the heavens are higher then the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” each day is a blessing and a new day for us to share the Lord’s love with others
Your words are always in perfect timing. Thank you one more time for all you do to keep us steadfast waiting for the king of kings He will came when its his time not ours .You are great in guiding me every day ❤️
Oh this is GOOD. Thank you for posting!!! The other day, Yeshua had brought me in Holy Scripture to John 14-17, as well as the Book of Revelation. So, as I was reading this, Yeshua brought to mind the Apostle John:
“Child, I loved John so much, and he longed to be with Me. But I asked him to wait almost a CENTURY before I called him home. Also. I asked him to transcribe My Revelation—and he saw things that terrified him—yet he obeyed. If John could be obedient and remain steadfast and patient in Me? Child, I know you can too.” ❤️
Yes, Lord. I put my trust in You. Your will be done. Your kingdom come. Please come quickly. We love You and long to see You face to face. But we will remain patient and steadfast in You, always abounding in Your work, for we know our labor is not in vain.❤️❤️☦️✝️
Thank you General for word, in waiting the heart grows. ❤️
